Okay, okay. I read in all these female magazine that the bc pills prevents cancer. Then, I found on some website that has a "list" of known carcinogens, (household cleaner chemicals, asbestos, chewing tobacco, food preservatives, etc. etc. )
That all birth control pills are carcinogenic, even the tri-phasic ones!!!
I need a little help here..
Birth control pills are not meant to be used as a cancer prevention
They are to prevent pregnancy/help regulate periods
So many articles come out about this and that preventing cancer (food,drugs,etc.)
Most of them get their statistics off coincidence
Cancer is a reccessive gene that stays dorment until something triggers it (smoking,pollutants,etc.) And it tend to trigger those with other health issues
Everything causes cancer. The cool thing about our bodies is that they can fight back at these cancer causing agents (carcinogens). Our bodies are able to fight back waaay more than they actually need to in order to prevent you from getting cancer. You should be just fine on the pill. The only cancer you should worry about is skin cancer. This is because the damage rate is 250,000 cells per minute and our bodies can fix these damaged cells at a rate of 250,000 cells per minute… with other cancer causing agents the rate of damage will be like 100,000 cells per minute and the fix rate is 500,000 cells per minute. Bottom line Birth Control is fine
You cannot always believe everything you read or hear. Especially things on the internet or in magazenes, most things you hear are untrue. Many things are still not proven, so many things we do not even know about many things- including cancer causing sources.
