how is it related to air pollution?
Our house was built in 1948 and it has textured walls, I was wondering for someone who knows about this subject, would it be harmful it drywall over the textured walls and repaint over that???
I've renovating an old '40's asbestos/weatherboard house and the paint on the outside of the house is old and peeling. How can I safely prepare the walls for repainting? I'm assuming that the paint is probably lead based too because of the age.
I live in Australia do you know when they stopped using asbestos to use as weatherboard (shingles)? I have a room built out the back made of weatherboard (shingles) I think it's asbestos but not sure the room looks like it could of been build in the 1970's to late 80's. who do i call to come out and test it ? answers would be appreciated. Thanks
the asbestos is not on the roof it's what i think is called siding some parts are not in the best of condition
What whould happen if a test came back positive
How do I tell if the outside of my house is abestos or other type of siding?
My home was built in 1950.
My condo was built in 1986 and all the units have popcorn ceilings (unless removed by their owner). I have to remove some of the ceiling for drywall work, but learned that popcorn ceilings used to have asbestos.
Hi, I have been renting this house for 4 years, Just discovered that this house has lea paint, and asbestos. Can a landlord legally rent under these conditions? If I bring it to their attention to they have to remove it? Can they leave hazardous conditions like these in a rental house?
How can you tell the differnce without getting it tested?
Someone told me that if the popcorn texture is not hard i.e softer texture that will crumble without wetting then it should not have asbestos.
Can anyone with expertise tell me how I might be able to tell without getting it lab tested.
I have seen some popcorn ceiling and mine looks different, as it is not hard it just like styrafoam
thanks
I bought a gas mask from a thrift store today, I put it on and without thinking breathed through it a couple of times. I started looking up on gas masks and came across that gas masks developed asbestos in the canister, and now I'm starting to freak out because I breathed into it and I question what are the chances of a gas mask (it is a civilian german gas mask, a "Zivilschutzfilter 68") to contain asbestos? I've asked people, and most of them said it would be pretty steep for it to happen.
Discovered some vermiculite loose fill insulation. How can it be determined if it contains asbestos or not?
