There's many, many lawsuits pending for asbestos exposure and mesothelioma. Class action lawsuits take many years usually because the companies being sued have big bucks and good lawyers. I don't think the lawsuit is for workmans comp, but for a huge settlement like the big tobacco companies had to shell out years ago. You don't know if anybody plans on lying about anything to do with this lawsuit. If they were gonna lie, they certainly wouldn't tell you or anyone else. Now many people smoke and live to a ripe old age. Then there's the one's who end up with emphysema and that eventually kills them like it did my dad. He never had cancer. Some people, smoking doesn't affect. So really I think it all has to do with your genetic makeup. There's not an age people die of lung cancer from smoking. I've known many old smokers who died at a ripe old age and I've known one that had lung cancer and had his lung removed and he lived to an old age. My dad and a little old lady are the only ones I've personally known that had emphysema. Understand totally. You should have your mom sign up for the class action lawsuit also.
