Im considering buying a house but the roofing has asbestos shingles.

We have old asbestos shingles that do not need replaced. We are removing them as we add on to our home. Three of them need replaced, I know we used to purchase individual 12 x 24 wavy edge cement siding pieces, but now we can’t find anyone who sells them. Help me if you can.

I suspect that the presence of these shingles should significantly lower the price one should be able to expect to sell an older home for, even if they are covered by vinyl siding and are in good condition. As an example, on a 2500 sq ft. home offered for sale for 0K, would discovery of the presence of asbestos shingles underneath vinyl siding warrant giving, say, a K reduction in the purchase price?

Just inquiring on the best way to remove of these asbestos shingles. I have a certified friend that will be helping me, but I am just curious if there is anything I should look out for?
