I dry-scraped about 200 vinyl-asbestos tiles without protection.

I'm really scared right now because of this. The worst part is that I won't know till 10-40 years from now if I will get cancer or anything.

I know now that I've been exposed to asbestos, I cannot get rid of it and my risk of getting disease or cancer has increased. I'm reaaaallllyyyy scared right now.

I really hope it's not as bad as I think

the house im in has old asbestos tiles that are painted white apparently and there is mold and dirt from my dogs all on them in different areas.how should i clean this safely?????

who is liable for removal of asbestos, contractor or sub-contractor?

I was hired to polish a concrete floor and found asbestos tiles and mastic on the floor. I told the contractor and said he should have it tested. He said to grind it with water and pour it down the mop drain. He also had his employees throw the tiles and carpet in a dumpster and sent it to a landfill. Who is legally liable for repercussions from the EPA on the disposal and removal of the product? How severe are the fines and is there any possible jail time? What if somebody gets cancer somewhere down the line? Are the employees and customers in any danger of asbestos that is airborne?

What are the dangers of being exposed to the removal of asbestos roofing tiles?

My next door neighbor is replacing the asbestos roofing tiles on her 45 year old back house. The men doing the work are wearing gas masks. The dust and particles from the removal are flying over my six foot fence which sits about three feet from the structure. My two year old twin daughters were playing in the driveway adjacent to the work area. Is it safe and customary to remove asbestos tiles without some kind of tenting to prevent the dust from blowing into adjacent living areas? If we have been exposed to carcinogens what are the risks? Is it possible my children will contract asbestosis?
