If ya didn’t know….
After this law was illegally passed in 1886 (Santa Clara v. Southern Pacific R.R. Co.) it has been a plague on our Democracy. Corporations can claim any Amendment, such as the 14th Amendment for discrimination rights to stop local communities from protecting their small, local businesses and keep out predatory retailers or large corporations convicted of crimes elsewhere, or claim the 1st Amendment for the right to deceive people in it’s PR (like when “Big Tobacco” wouldn’t admit cigarettes are addictive and cause cancer, and the cover up with asbestos). Even worse in 1978 (Boston v. Bellotti) by one-vote majority decision corporations were decided to be “persons”, making it legal for them to give HUGE quantities of money to political causes through the right of free speech. Thereby making the average American citizen voter (i.e. We the People) have to compete with Corporations on unequal footing. Corporations are here to serve We the People not vice-versa.
On top of this, corporations never die – they just get bigger while gaining more assets & control. These corporations have gotten so big they dominate most main media outlets, shut down local businesses with insane price undercutting (from overseas cheap labor & products, tax loopholes, etc.), keep renewable energy from being a reality, and pay the politicians that will keep that Corporation’s best interests in mind in order to keep receiving their money flow.

Only humans should have human rights in a democracy. Corporations can have the right to keep certain trade secrets and that’s it! Nor should they be allowed to influence politicians with their GIANT POCKETS thereby making the average American citizen voter (i.e. We the People) have to compete with Corporations on unequal footing. Corporations are here to serve We the People, not the other way around. I’m all for having corporations…but they are ALL answerable to We the People

PLEASE TRY TO ANSWER AND ‘AN EMERGENCY!
In 4 years I moved into a house in the mountains, very old, renovated, can be made of asbestos?
I moved to 10 in a house with newer …
Up to 5 years, in summer, I was 2 weeks in a house (my grandfather) and the walls were well protected, but perhaps in asbestos, now I have 17 years, risk anything?
Needless to say my grandfather died of lung cancer, say for cigarettes, now I begin to doubt it …

I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lung Cancer rare before 1960?

You look at history of the past and you don’t see a lot of lung cancer before the 1960’s. People smoked even in the 1700 and 1800’s.

In some ways, I think this deal about smoking is somewhat hyped up. What about other exposures that may cause lung cancer?

Many of you may disagree. However, I think the media’s "statistics" about things are sometimes biased rather than objective. How do we know that 80’s of lung cancer deaths are contributed to smoking?
Okay- Smoking how much? 5 packs a day. 10 cigarettes a day (some are now saying smoking in moderation isn’t bad for your health) I agree
Exposure to other chemicals? Working in a deasel factory? Putting asbestos on roofs? Genes? Eating very unhealthy?

It some ways it is like saying that a hamburger causes heart disease. Okay- eating a hamburger with 3000 other calories that day? along with sugar and hydroginated oils?

Or eating one hamburger a day with a healthy diet?

The media just gives their biased facts

Person A – worked as a carpenter 50hrs a week for 45 years to support his family, sometime coming into contact with carcinogenic materials (ex. asbestos)

Person B – a person who worked an office job but smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day for 45 yrs

Do you have any different feelings about them in general?

we have millions of people as of today are exposed with asbestos and going to die with metsophelioma and no one want to answer or talk about it. you have to be one foot on grave to be able to get some kind of help or hire a lawyer ,and our government is blaming the cigarettes for all the lung cancer in this country . they better start watching people that has been exposed in the 70’s is just begin to show.how can we help???
